According to the report, the consulting firm's profits have exceeded the market's expectations by far, and this has also resulted in the consulting company's shares going up by 4% in the after market trade.
This boost in the profits of Huron Consulting Group Inc has been helped largely by lower costs. The consulting company predicts earnings (adjusted) for a share at $2.05-$2.20. One year back the second quarter share net income for the company was $2.4 million, or 11 cents a share. 38 cents a share was what market analysts had predicted for the consulting company this year, but Huron exceeded this estimate by raking in $9.5 million, or 44 cents a share.
