Terry Semel, CEO @ Yahoo has resigned. Although his work in getting Yahoo from a search engine to what it is today, his unability to match google's ad revenue levels made him step down. He is to move into the role of non-executive chairman.
Mr. Semel, 64 years old, is widely credited with helping to focus a foundering Yahoo following his 2001 arrival and helping it ride the recovery in online advertising.(WSJ)
Yahoo co-founder Jerry Yang has been named as his replacement. I am not the only one wondering if this will do the same to Yahoo as the return of Steve Jobs did for Apple.
