SAN for the little guys
Fujitsu Siemens Computers just started marketing a SAN that is intended for small businesses. The company calls it "My First SAN".
Explaining the rationale behind the strategy, he said the firm offered "affordable" entry-level storage "solutions" via its FibreCat tape drives to small businesses that are increasingly reliant on digital content as their core business data.(TheRegister)
The only thing I don't understand is that this is not a storage solution, but it seems to be a backup solution as cached data is stored on CompactFlash memory and than copied to tape.

I fail to see how the little guy is taken seriously.
