Google Search adds face recognition
Filed in archive Tools on June 4, 2007
Google (image) search has always been one of the strong players in the search engine market - but this time they've really created some advanced searching : they do face recognition. And that is something else.Technically, what Google can now do is similar to what some digital cameras do: Recognize faceness. Cameras do it to lock in focus; Google does it to separate pictures into "people" and "not people" buckets.(WebWare)
Impressive. Our government could learn from them.
