In , Michael Arrington suggests olderr people are scared by modern cellphones, and prefer older phones or simple phones that are made for only on thing : making phone calls.
Jitterbug. Promising "24 hour operators," "large, backlit buttons" and a "soft ear cushion," Jitterbug promises to be the perfect phone for old, blind, hard of hearing folks with fat fingers. ()
What is he talking about ? Jitterbug. What is it ? It's a company that delivers simple phones (image) and by their own saying, a reliable network to go with it.
I am not convinced. Michael's dad wants an iPhone for his birthday. Mine has a macbook, a brand new moto rokr which he uses to take pictures with. He's got wifi in both his homes, uses VOIP to make phone calls and recently said he now wants an iPod. The 80 GB, nothing less. See my point ?

I’m not “old” but not young either. Though I’m not scared, I’m not young either, nor intimidated by cellphones (if, by “modern” does the title imply that old people only like the old early ’90′s clunkers?–That’s absurd); I just can’t see the buttons, or text, very well. I have no use for surfing on a phone. I like a huge PC monitor, especially to watch useless videos! I also dislike the GPS feature, since I can read maps that are usually more accurate. It’s not a case of “scared”, just not needing to be jacked-in to the outside world 24/7. Some call it “old”. I call it Zen.
