I have been reluctant to buy a new car for quite some time now – the fact that microsoft powers in-car computers scares the hell out of me. But fortunately, there's good news : I can now go out and buy a Mercedes. Apple will power Mercedes' in-car computers. Pfffhew !
A German Magazine is reporting that Apple and mercedes benz have signed a deal whereby Apple will design an in-car maintenance, communication and navigation system for inclusion in Mercedes Benz vehicles from 2009.()
Personally, I like GM so I will keep up hoping they will license apple's car software as well. Worst case scenario is my driving a mercedes. That's doable.
